Two electronics shows, one venue

NEPCON JAPAN and SEMICON Japan are both held at Tokyo Big Sight, about ten weeks apart. They serve related but different parts of the electronics supply chain.

  • NEPCON JAPAN (17–19 February 2027, RX Japan) covers electronics research and development, manufacturing and packaging.
  • SEMICON Japan (9–11 December 2026, organized by SEMI) is the semiconductor supply-chain show. The 2026 edition is its 50th.

Who should pick which

If you sell electronic components, assembly equipment or packaging technology, NEPCON JAPAN is the closer fit. If you sell semiconductor materials, equipment or related services, SEMICON Japan is the closer fit. Many suppliers serve both audiences and exhibit at one while visiting the other.

Timing

The two dates are roughly ten weeks apart. For exhibitors, that is enough time to run two campaigns but tight for a single team to prepare both booths. For visitors, a single trip can cover one show and meeting follow-ups in Tokyo.

Practical notes

Both shows are at the same venue, so access, stations and nearby hotels are the same. Confirm hall assignments with each organizer because Tokyo Big Sight has halls under renovation.

Before you decide

  1. Match the show to your product category, not just the industry label.
  2. Compare last-edition exhibitor and visitor numbers in the table above.
  3. Check the application deadline for each show.

Details can change. Confirm dates and rules with each organizer.
